About Kim Knight, M.Ac.O.M., L.Ac.
I know you have been in pain for a long time, together, we can find a place in you that has the strength to over come it and relieve that pain.
Take ownership of your health and revitalize your body with alternative approaches to common health concerns.
This web page and blog seeks to revitalize and encourage you to take charge of your health! By posting regular articles that provide you with resources for alternative approaches to common health care concerns, I seek to show you how you can be healthy and vibrant through the use of alternative approaches such as acupuncture, Chinese Herbal medicine and other modalities such as Tuina, cupping and guasha.
My name is Kim Knight and I am an acupuncturist living and practicing in Portland Oregon and I am interested in helping you take charge of your health.
Relationship
Let’s build a relationship. Ok, so I can just say that, but in reality, its clear that we both need to put time, energy and positive intent to build a healthy patient – practitioner relationship. I can tell you that I am committed to each and every patient that walks through my door, to do just that. My practice is built on honesty. Let’s talk straight and get some work done toward healing what ails you.
My technique is gentle yet strong, my hands on approach is deep and full of motion. Patients in my office can expect to have a quiet and serene acupuncture treatment followed up by some body work that involves movement. Shaking and rolling, rhythm and motion get you up and moving, ready to take on your life.
Education
My patients are educated. They are in charge of their health and know how to make themselves better when they are sick. I provide this website where you can find and learn about new healing techniques, alternative therapies for many health concerns and posts on how various herbs in the Chinese pharmacopoeia.
Each appointment you have in my office will develop naturally as an educational experience, you will always go home knowing more than when you came in. Educated patients are stronger, more involved in their care and powerful.
Responsibility
My practice is full of really great people. I want to fill it with more great people and therefore I rely on your referrals of family and friends to grow. If you have two or three people who you know I can help, like I helped you, please send them on in! Let’s build a community together of healthy, vibrant individuals who are free to have full lives!
About Me
One thing folks often say about me is that I am “always in motion”. I’m a busy person and that includes my practice as well as working with students at the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine as a teaching assistant. I am an active participant in life, volunteering much of my time to an international organization dedicated to Great Works. I reside in Northeast Portland with my husband Geoff and our dog, Miss Pig.
